British Culture Secretary to Hold Talks on Maccabi Tel Aviv Fan Ban
The law enforcement official from the central England region has requested an immediate reexamination of the ruling to ban Maccabi Tel Aviv's supporters from being present at the forthcoming game.
The commissioner, who supervises the police department, explains that this appeal aims to verify whether the prohibition is suitable, essential, justified, reasonable, and a proportionate measure to achieve a lawful objective.
"This should involve consideration of every and any possible suitable, other choices," Foster adds.
He has additionally asked to review the written decision and recommendation from the advisory group, as well as the law enforcement evaluation.
The commissioner stresses, however, that the final decision belongs to the committee and the authorities.
