The star midfielder Functioned in a high spot out wide while also contributed with dirty work. Demonstrated moments of class but mishit an effort high. Withdrawn in the closing stages for a teammate, a fellow player, after being booked. Seven

The winger Was presented with England’s clearest opportunity in the opening period, his strike smartly stopped from the Albanian keeper. With Quansah hanging back, he had to offer an outlet on the right yet his deliveries from wide areas varied in quality. Substituted late in the match. Six

Harry Kane The match-winner netting two more strikes for his country. The opener a classic opportunist's goal and the second a superb headed goal after peeling away away from the opposition. Now 32, his form is unwavering and the side are strong contenders in future competitions with him up top. 8

The attacker Struggled to make an impact from the left. Had a presentable chance after being played in from a teammate yet Strakosha denied him. Rashford made much more of effect after coming on. 5
