Substantial Ice Stones and Broad Damage

Residents reported substantial frozen pellets as large as 7 centimeters in particular locations. Weather authorities verified that different parts across the state had been impacted by large hailstones.

Meteorological Predictions

Damp conditions were expected to linger along significant areas of eastern Queensland this week as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.

Tuesday was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with ongoing storm activity expected across multiple regions of both areas.

Safety Concern

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, particularly given the existing atmospheric conditions.
