Two Victims Revealed in Brown University Shooting as Authorities Continue Search for Killer.

Two students who died in Saturday’s violent attack on the university campus were being remembered Monday – as a manhunt for their assailant continued following the release by authorities in Rhode Island of the only individual of interest in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

The young woman Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama, was called “an incredible, grounded, faithful, bright light”, per the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, which paid tribute to her at a ceremony on Sunday.

Her role included vice-president of Brown’s chapter of the College Republicans organization, according to the organization. Karoline Leavitt also posted sympathies online, stating: “There are no words. Thinking of her family and friends, especially her parents.”

The Second Victim

The other person killed was an Uzbek national named MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, a citizen of Uzbekistan in his first year of studies at the prestigious university, his family confirmed.

The victim's identification was confirmed by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

“He was exceptionally gentle, witty, and bright. He had big dreams of pursuing a career in neurosurgery and aiding others,” his sister, Samira Umurzokova said in a online post.

Details of the Attack

An additional nine individuals were hurt in the violent event in the school of engineering of Brown’s campus in Providence, during the school’s final exam period.

Officials stated by the end of Sunday that a 24-year-old male taken into custody in a search at a hotel about 17 miles from the scene earlier in the day was being released.

“We have a murderer out there,” declared Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

Neronha explained, “Occasionally a probe goes down a path, and then you need to change course and head another way, and that is the current situation over the last approximately one day.”

Police that searched the inn recovered a pair of pistols and two ammunition clips when the individual was detained, according to reports.

Condition of the Injured

Of the nine hurt, one pupil was discharged from care, mentioned the university president, Christina Paxson. Seven more were in grave but unchanging health, and another was critically ill, authorities stated on Sunday.

Durham Academy, a private academy in North Carolina, said a former student, Kendall Turner, was in the group of seriously hurt victims.

The president of College Republicans, Martin Bertao, released remarks from the club. “Ella was known for her courageous, valiant, and compassionate nature as she worked for her branch and other students,” he said.

Jonathan Henick, Jonathan Henick, said he was “deeply saddened” by the passing of Umurzokov in a tribute. “Our profound condolences go out to his relatives, friends, and peers and grieve for of his promising future.”
